Seron Energy recently installed new 120 watt Post Top LED fixtures throughout Cal State Bakersfield's extensive parking lots, replacing existing 400 watt HPS Post Top fixtures. Some perks of these new LED fixtures include pre programming, which dims down the lights to 65% Power from 12am-6am (365).  The wattage reduction from this retro-fit project, combined with the lighting controls, will save CSUB approximately 180,000 KWH per year, which equals roughly $2400.00 savings per month.  With a 10 year warranty on materials and labor CSUB has also eliminated any maintenance costs associated with the parking lot lighting.
